ABOUT WILD HEARTS

The Wild Hearts Adventure Co. community is a small group of learners that gathers twice a week to work together on our core skills and project-based learning. We dream big and work hard to achieve our goals!

At Wild Hearts, the heart of our program lies in the hands-on experience of self-directed and group projects that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth. We believe in empowering learners to pursue their passions, whether through entrepreneurial endeavors, various forms of art, creative writing, or exploring topics of personal interest. Our projects range from woodworking and research-based exploration to learning practical skills like hand sewing, crochet, cooking, mechanics, and homesteading. We strive to accommodate any interest we can, allowing each learner to discover and develop their unique talents while building the skills they need for future success. With a focus on creative expression and meaningful, self-guided learning, we create an environment where kids can thrive, both individually and collaboratively.

Founder & Executive Director

Roekmini Pullom is the founder and creative force behind Wild Hearts Adventure Co.—a program born from her passion for education, nature, and wholehearted community. A credentialed teacher with a master’s degree in education, Roekmini has spent her life inspiring young people, supporting families, and building spaces where curiosity, connection, and confidence thrive.

Known for her warmth, authenticity, and thoughtful presence, Roekmini has guided the direction of Wild Hearts with care—developing curriculum, mentoring staff, and fostering meaningful connections with families and like-minded programs across the U.S. and beyond. She has an incredible gift for supporting both children and parents, and she shines brightest when helping people feel seen, empowered, and inspired to grow.

Cara Weeks has over a decade of experience in the homeschooling realm, guiding her own four children as they develop a love of lifelong learning. She keeps things running  like a well oiled machine for her family and her bustling menagerie of pets at her home in Hanford.

Abundantly creative, she enjoys crafting and homemaking when she’s not serving the students at Wild Hearts Adventure Co., or assisting friends and family in their various pursuits. She makes herself indispensable wherever she goes!

She’s passionate about helping students explore all their interests and guiding them toward the resources they need to learn and grow. No matter what the topic is, she will go above and beyond to facilitate a positive and enriching learning experience for your child.

Cara has been invaluable in the development and expansion of our program. She is so excited to bring her wide range of  skills and passions to the unique learning environment at Wild Hearts Adventure Co!

Callie Ramirez is a beloved guide and go-to person in our learning community—especially for our littlest learners. With over five years of homeschooling experience and a strong background in education and psychology, she brings both heart and insight to everything she does.

Callie’s unique approach to homeschooling is centered on meeting each child exactly where they are, without pressure or comparison. Her goal is to walk alongside every learner, helping them find their path and cheering them on as they follow it.

In the spaces she cultivates, learning feels like discovery, and education feels like possibility. Whether it’s through hands-on projects, nature exploration, or creative play, Callie fosters rich, choice-based environments where kids thrive.

When she’s not guiding young minds, you can find Callie digging in the garden, listening to music, creating art, exploring new places, or enjoying the magic of the beach.
